  • Thanks for the "Welcome". Looking forward to meeting you.

  • Happy to hear about your ride. I too had good ride here in Shelbyville, TN, the hills are steep and these horses just plow right through them. There's nothing like it in Tucson.

  • Glad the ride went well! We'll make one one of these days--winter always seems to be too busy for us with events and riding! Thanks, guys!

  • Thanks, I took most of these photos when I was in TN, so I wasn't the one riding. I need to update my horses pics with me in them. I would love to join in a ride with you at some point, but I need a trailer. I've been hounding my husband, so I hope to have one in a few months.

  • " from the (otherwise plenipotent) SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST for a mere 25 %!
in canada & europe the cost is more like 50 % ..."

There are certain tax-subsidized "must haves" monopolized by each contemp state.
E.G., 'tis uncivilized to leave the responsibilitie s of formal education in the hands of the common man -- protect (with guns) an elite few who design public ed.

Whether one state claims to tax by 25% and the other by 50% makes little difference in the end - they find the funds.

  • "(& you'd still have to avoid insane italian drivers at intersections!) "

Imagine applying for a permit to drive on a privately-owned invitation-only roadway where your repuatation for safe and courteous driving carries more weight than appeals to the "right" to drive on so-called "public land".

Though, intelligent thought aside, I agree with you since, given the circumstances, I might as well set myself up to receive the stolen funds through a gov't job or some other subsidized monopoly.

  • "jackemeyer,
you should be glad that, in america,GOV PROTECTS you..."

Surprisingly, I was arrested on ASU campus Monday for failing to provide an I.D. within 45 seconds of being verbally abused by two angry cops. They were protecting me from myself as I crossed a vacant street.
I've never been arrested, and no, I did not yell or resist arrest. I simply asked who they were and why they were detaining me. They refused to answer and arrested me after three demands for ID.
