Meeting Description

Who

Anyone with a gaited horse. I suggest that you bring a saddlebag lunch for the trail and that as a back up to tieing your horse at lunch, you have hobbles for your horse.

Why

GAIT THROUGH GARDEN VALLEY, these trails should be beautiful after all the rain we've had. This is not a trail that we can gait the entire way but we will walk fast or gait where possible. Spend a day in the beauty of the Superstition Wilderness.

Organized by

"5 ft with long red hair and white cowgirl hat riding the 13 hh fleabitten Paso Fino"
--Steve & Beth (Steve on Wind Walker, Beth on Cloud Dancer)

Details

I suggest that you bring a saddlebag lunch for the trail and that as a back up to tieing your horse at lunch, you have hobbles for your horse (just a suggestion).

We'll meet at the First Water trail head and hit the trail by 9:15 am. We'll gait the smooth parts of the trail and fast walk twistier parts keeping up a faster pace than most rides. The trails are wet and muddy in places, rocky in other places. We will stop for lunch on the trail. Depending on trail conditions, time and people's inclination, we will ride second water trail to Boulder Canyon, back to Black Mesa and loop back to the trailhead.

See ya there!!
Beth
