  •  Everything turned out fine. The lady we board with is so good and such knowledge of horses. We have a mare in her last 6 weeks before she foals. So getting excited about that. It's our first foal. Not her first one but our first one. How's things going for you?

  •  Oh yea. That what is making it not so hard for me, I talk to my hubby at least three times a week online, and usually he can call me via internet. He's stationed at a FOB and doesn't move, thank goodness. At least he's safe, ya know? Thanks so much for the email. Can't wait to meet you when you move!

  •  Hi Dee, I am looking forward to meeting you when you come to Ft.Hood, Texas. Hope you and I can get together sometime and go horseback riding together. Maybe we can teach each other about horses. I will send you an email later. hope to hear from you again. Happy Trails to you and family. What unit is your husband in? My daughter and soninlaw and grandsons live on Ft.Hood base. My soninlaw works on the helicoptors, I think its 4th Id Well keep in touch. Donna

  •  Bboard no place to ride. Person we board at rides to do barrel racing, do not take her space to ride with friends to practice. My horse is a problem to catch. Don't chase her - she could care less when I turn my back on her when she looks at me. She does get jealous when I give attention to other horses so I use that sometimes to catch her. She comes towards me when I've tried to teach her to back up. I've taught my gelding to back up in just a few tries. Need more characters... LOL

  •  Hey there! I actually really like living in Harker Heights. For the most part its quiet, not too far from and not too close to base. I hear that first couple of months thing. My husband has only been gone since a few days after Thanksgiving and it feels like its been a year already.

  •  It's me again. I'm also a Parelli fan. I am part of group of Central TX Savvy club members. I'm going this monday to a play day at the Georgtown showbarn. We get together to do play days or to watch his video's. I board so I do not have time to spend training my horses but I love their mindset of you don't ride a horse to make yourself look good but ride a horse for how it feels good for the horse. There is no such thing as a bad horse just people who don't understand them!!!!

  •  Great to hear from you. I'm known for my books also... LOL. Where we boarded is how we heard about play days. We have a couple play day associations that are great. One is a little expensive the other one is very reasonable. Just a great bunch of people just there to have fun with there kids and other horse lovers. I'd be more than happy to give you information on them. We just got done with one yesterday. I'm dealing with 2 possible colicing horses today.

  •  Hi! Dee Thanks for the shout. I walk Topper up to the school and Darianne rides him back home. We are still looking at adding another gelding to the crew. I do all the walking and she does all the riding :). I must say, I do need the exercise though.
